William Mwale
William Mwale, a Lilongwe based young fine artist of Malawian nationality. He was born in Zimbabwe, and was raised in Botswana and Malawi. William found his passion for art in late 2004. His work is largely self-taught but he had a mentor who helped him tap into his natural born talent. He has since taken part in various exhibitions such as the WESM annual exhibitions, VAAM, Solo Exhibitions and WAPI showcases.
He has sold art to various collectors from Malawi, Zambia, Japan, UK and USA. He specializes in Realism using pencil on paper.
William’s art work can be seen at La Carvena in Blantyre and La Galleria in Lilongwe. He draws his inspiration from nature and the environment. He is also inspired by Malawian people, culture and wildlife.
